I had been waiting all week for this. They could have just looped the R&M episode until Samurai Jack came on, or had Samurai Jack play at midnight, when the R&M loop was over.

It was a "breather" episode. We got a break from the more intense stuff, with some humor and character development. I was fine with it.

So the Scotsman's magic runes are just an Instant-Revive, so that's cool.

Pacing was terrible, and the action in the factory area was very meh. Beginning and end were good. The bad pacing is forgivable though, seeing as there's only ten episodes. I expect that the beginning and end of the season will be the best parts, with the middle being closer to average on the quality spectrum.

was it just me or was that episode so good

the opening was AMAZING, and Greg Baldwin actually didnt take me out of it, which is a super good sign. His Aku is definitely better than a lot of ways it could have gone, and I'm pretty used to it now. Also glad to see that the malaise deleted scene got officially used

loved the parallel with how easily children can be used applying to ashi

think of all the times in the original series when jack would fight a completely human/sentient being, only for it to be quickly revealed as "lolno its just a robot" when jack kills it

this is the opposite of that, its literally the show making fun of itself and it was hilarious

I agree, I just like robots that look cool, that's why I was disappointed when he ended up being human. I understood the joke.

seems like theyre setting it up so ashi and jack end up being romantically involved. it could go either way at this point so i wont say much more but i will say that no matter what his physical body looks like jack is MUCH MUCH MUCH older than her and acts as her mentor in a sense so if they get together that would seem really gross to me.

To be fair, it makes complete sense for Da Sa-moo-rhai to be using words like "damn" and "bad-ass". They opted for "SOB" rather than actually saying it, so they have some restraint.
