That's because the subreddit isn't a discussion orientated subreddit, it's just being used to advertise Trump to reddit and the internet.They don't want discussion on Trump's policies, that isn't particularly to intesting, they just want to continuously circlejerk each other to the top of reddit. Discussion slows them down.It's not a safe space meant to protect people, it's a method of keeping the sub in maximum circlejerk mode.

It's one thing to say "They want a safe space from dissenting opinions!" But that's not the case here (and even if it was, why is that a problem?
