RP Thread Story

Following Jill over to an elevator up to the comms room Chris walks Rtas over.

Amanda awoke from her sleep in her house in Miner's Payer, the sound of her dog asking to be let out.

She sighed and walked over to the coat hanger and pulled the coat off, pulling it on, still half-asleep. She proceeded to grab the leash from the ground and hook it onto the husky's collar, then opening the door to the cold outside while slipping on some boots. She looked around and walked out of the small one room house. She sighed and began to walk along the snowy gravel road. Her boots crunched in the snow as she began to walk more and more, soon getting tired and walking back. She could feel the cold air coming in and saw snow raining down from the skies. She rushed back to the small house and opened the door, pushing the dog in and rushing inside, closing the door. The blizzard blew past her house, making the wind sound like people screaming and snow covering her windows. The room became colder and she walked over to the furnace, turning it on.

"There's going to be at least 10 US Marines waiting in the control room, don't worry its just protocol." Jill told the alien as she looked at her PDA.

Chris looks over her shoulder at the PDA

Jill notices her partner looking at what she's doing, "Do you mind?" She asked. "I'm trying to send this info to the director."

"Sorry"
Chris walks back to the alien.

*lets out a quick chuckle then examines the handcuffs*

The elevator arrives to the sixth floor of the BSAA compound, the doors open and the US Marines are there waiting. "Ms. Valentine." One of the marines said, "We are here to...give you and your partner protection."

Several scientists came running to look at the alien, "Let's get to the interrogation room so we can begin."

"Well let's get this started. Shall we?"
Chris walks into the dimly lit room.

The marines escorted the alien as the two BSAA agents let them to the interrogation room.

*is stopped at the entrance to the interrogation room*


Let me guess.........my weapons?


*hands a marine the weapons and lets out a grunt of disapproval*


Hang on soldier. I need you to try and fix this. My transponder is broken and I need it to communicate with my Fleet.


*removes transponder from gauntlet armor and hands to Marine*



*walks into the interrogation room*

"I don't think you'll fit in the chair...anyway...who sent you here?" Jill asked first.

*walks around to the other side of the interrogation table and leans over it, looking at each of the humans*


Now that we are here, let's talk.
"Jill" and "Chris" was it? If my use of your names offends either of you, let me know.
I think we can converse like sentient beings, all things considered. My name is Rtas, in case you forgot how to pronounce it.



My fleet orbiting your planet came here in search of something. An artifact left behind by our Gods. We call them the Forerunners. As I told Jill in the mine, I don't know what these artifacts do. Our fleets simply retrieve them for our leaders.



*backs from table and begins to pace back and forth*


Why am I on your planet? Because my crew turned on me and crashed my ship. The Flood infected them somehow, and now they infest the crash site of my ship. As for the rest of my fleet.......


*lets out a deep breath*


I hope they haven't been attacked.


*tinkers with handcuffs in vain*


Are these really necessary?
I'd feel more "talkative" if I wasn't restrained like this.

We are allies after all.

*lets out a grin*

Jill sighs, she approaches the much taller alien and takes off his cuffs.

"We're interrogating you. but fine."

*Walks to the nearest chair and leans on it*

"So what do these artifacts do? Why are they so powerful? Why do you need them?"

*gives Chris a stern look as Jill removes the cuffs*

*rubs wrists and gives Jill a friendly nod*

*walks to the table, pushes the chair aside and leans against table. Taps fingers on table in thought*


What do these artifacts do? Well the hope is that one will lead to another.
And they will eventually lead us to something greater. They are gifts to us from our Gods, left behind for us to inherit.

If your men can fix my gear, I may be able to get you answers as to what they can do. I have many of the same questions.


*looks up puzzled*

"We know your name, but we don't know where you come from. This is about trust after all."

Where do I come from?


*looks up surprised*



My home planet, "Sanghelios".
Our worlds are very similar actually.


*begins to pace again*


Just imagine more water and separation among the landmasses, and everything has a reddish tint to it. That's my home.



*pauses for a moment, lost in thoughts of home*

"Very well."

*Walks up to Rtas*

"So how do we stop this Flood?"

*clenches fist against chest*


It's simple.


*gives Chris a very determined look*


"Containment". We burn them all, isolate them.
Keep them from doing what a parasite does: spread.


*walks away for a moment, then turns to Jill and raises voice, as if giving a speech*


If we are to stop this threat, we must work together!


*looks at Chris sternly*


Your partner is sold on our alliance. But you are not. You see me as a threat!
Let me ask you something human.

Do you want to save your species? Your world?



*gives a very aggressive tone*



Because if you do, you have to trust me.
We need to get this issue out of the way now, because I WILL NOT discuss this on the battlefield when the bullets come raining on us. I need to know you will have my back out there.

*Looks at Chris and nods softly*

*Looks back at Rtas*

"Well I guess we could form an alliance now that we've gotten to know each other."

"What is our first step in containing this Flood stuff?"

*regains composure then grins devilishly*


First, let's see the progress on the repairs of my transponder. I can contact my fleet and get a view of the situation with the Flood. See where my ship crashed, and how far they have spread.


If that is alright with you, of course.


*looks up in anticipation*

"We'll get it repaired." Jill said, then her PDA ringed. "Its O'Brian, he needs us in Siberia. Parker and Jessica found a bunch of small things infecting the soldiers that accompanied them to the Patagonia, so there's a chance that there's a hive in Siberia."

"That makes me think this could be more widespread than originally thought. We need to stop this before it gets out of hand."

*Motions for Rtas to follow him and Jill out of the room*

*nods in approval and follows*

Shortly after the beep of the blue orb, a bright flash blinds him momentarily. There is a strange feeling coursing through his body now. When his vision returns, he looks at his chest where the orb had landed and is shocked at what he sees. He is glowing brightly the same color of the orb. He looks up to see where it came from and a tall creature appears out of thin air, much like the ships had appeared after the volcano erupted. It starts yelling in some unknown language and pulls something from his side and clenches it in his fist. He raises it above his head and makes a downward stroke with it. Twin electric blue colored blades emerge around the device and the creature charges him. He raises his hand up as a reaction and then he hears the sound of shattered glass and the same feeling he felt on his chest from the orb is now focused on his arm that he used to block. The creature's blade is gone now, with just the device in it's fist remaining. It starts to panic and goes to grab him by the neck. It lifts him into the air as it chokes him. It's about to crush his windpipe when he instinctively tries to grab the arms of the creature to free himself. The creature starts screaming in agony and let's go of him immediately. He falls on his hands and knees to catch his breathe. He looks up at the creature because it is still screaming. It's staring at it's arms which are raised in front of it's face but something is different now. It's hands are now gone, like they had been cardorized from a burn. It stumbled back and trips over a rock landing hard on it's back. He walks over to check it out and it appears to be knocked out. He takes the opportunity and starts to climb the steep incline to leave this damned volcano.

The blizzard passes by in the next couple of hours, noting damaged.

Amanda slips on her engineering outfit and a large coat, and then some boots. She walks out of the house, closing the door behind her and climbing into her truck and drives to Billiard place in town, not to far from her house.

She arrives at the Steve's Billiards and Beer, parking the truck and opening the front door and walks in, warm air greeting her and the sound of wood hitting balls and booze. She walks over to the bar and takes a seat on one of the bar stools.

"Now who is this fine lady?" a man with grey hair and a orange plaid shirt asks behind her. "Amanda Ripley." she replies, taking a sip from the beer bottle, the booze flowing down her throat. "Well, I didn't know we had nice looking ladies in this town! Whaddya say? You come with me to my place and we share that beer of yours?" Amanda grips the beer bottle and replies "I wouldn't spend a day with an idiot."

The man tenses and reaches into his coat, pulling out a revolver, the sound of clicking.

"Whaddya say to me?" the man asks, drunk and angry.

Amanda grips the bottle and smashes it onto the man's head, the man then collapsing and landing on the floor. She puts a few dollars on the bar counter and grabs the gun laying on the floor, climbing back into her truck and driving back to her house.

Elegiac finds the shield of Ultimate and destiny, he proceeds to his space ship. Finding the space ship he attaches his shield to the front of it and uses the +extra armour (I now have armour plus 2000 from enchanted shield) to bombastically make his way through the meteor shower that was blocking the path of his mighty quest.
