I never really had a problem with the prequels actually.

This can affect how much you care about the outcome. There is no tension at all in the duel in Episode IV, because the choreography is so laughably godawful, that it takes you out of the movie.
The duel between Obi Wan and Vader in A New Hope had no choreography because it was a new movie and the guys had no idea how Jedis/Siths were actually suppose to fight because it was something new to them.
I thought it was pretty good. Pacing is weird, could be they made him cut a lot of scenes.
