This has been brought up more than once and there have been some differing opinions, so I am trying to see where we stand on the decision as a whole. Feel free to leave your comments below as well.

If it's possible to have a separate forum for Religion&Politics then I'm all for it.

It will keep the bait and keyboard riots out of the main Flood and I think everyone will be better off.

If it isn't much of a hassle, then sure why not. As long is the Gaming Forum remains, I don't mind.


You might want to create some extra rules specifically relating to that forum (stickied thread at the top or whatever), as it would probably have to be more strict there than elsewhere.

Why does it matter if there's flaming in that section, though? If it were to be made, the reason would be to separate the flamers from the rest of the community, and anyone going into that forum should know what they're getting into. Bothering with extra moderation wouldn't make much sense. Just allow it to be a cesspool for the sake of the other forums.

Not gonna happen. If (and probably when) the forum is made, it'll be heavily moderated. Heated discussions will be expected and allowed, but namecalling and insult flinging will earn you 1, 3, or 7 day bans without warning.

Because you can have a civil debate and there is no need to be a complete asshole to the other user.

Personally I feel like a warning should be in place first but you're the boss.

Are you seriously asking why being respectful towards other users in a debate should be required? If you seriously asking that, you should probably just not participate in any debates at all.

This isn't a platform for formal debates. It's an internet forum originally based off of a violent video game. Expecting civil discussion on this forum is like walking into a ghetto and screaming nigger, so why even bother enforcing any type of civility rules?

I much prefer talking politics/world news/religion over video games and such. If it's handled better in it's own section, I'm all for it. I'll probably be most active there.
