It could be the plumbing in your house, installing a new garage door opener or simply building a BBQ.  Are you good at using house tools to fix thing around your house? Do you normally call someone?



Me:  Something normally breaks around here I tend to look it up and fix it. I have  a large variety of tools at my disposal.  It's the same story with my cars

Minor shit, really. Wooden railings, drywall repairs/installation, molding, exterior siding/flashing (though we don't have a brake anymore), entry level automotive servicing (brakes and fluids), basic ass gunsmithing, little bit of mig welding knowledge, installed a toilet once...

Nothing too crazy or uncommon, you know?

No, but I wouldn't mind becoming one some day. Both my dad and granddad are excellent handymen, so I kind of feel like an asshole for not knowing how to fix or build anything.

Not at all, I know literally nothing about being one. We had a lock that wouldn't open at work two days ago and my friend asked me to get the WD-40 from the office and I'm just going "What?" while giving a confused look. She then told me I'm a guy I'm supposed to know this shit.

Kinda offensive....

I could probably monkey my way through common household repairs. I've fixed shit before when I've had to. As it stands though, I don't have the tools or motivation to do any of that currently.

I know plenty. Every other day something breaks in the trailer and my roommate won't call the landlord cause he owes him money

I have managed to build ikea furniture without looking at the instructions before.
