Berserk 2016 is funny in that it's sad to see a respectable manga have an anime in 2016 that is somehow worse than the one in the 90's. At least that one was hand drawn and resembled the manga. This 2016 one is just... this

Anyway I'm having trouble recomending stuff to OP, there's some good legitamately good stuff I cant recomend based on his restrictions, in fact Iron Blooded Orphans may be too much, I think Gundam Unicorn would be a better recommendation instead.

Is Baccano not based on supernatural themes? I believe I saw the beginning of an episode or two and there was quite a bit of supernatural hoobla going on.

To kill them, obviously. Kid grew up a nobody with lots of resentment and revenge on the mind. MC's dad was in the family but another dude took him out to allow him to usurp the current don.

Not an anime but a Japanese TV show in partnership with Netflix. "Million yen women", really surprised me. It might not be your thing, but two or three episodes in and I had to finisj it. There won't be a another season so I can say it ends properly.

well, that's not all there is to the immortality... the devouring bit is pretty huge. there's also the homunculi, like ennis. and the demon who gave the elixir/recipe alchemists aboard the advena avis, though he was really just a super old homunculus with crazy powers. and i mean, you cant really call what vino does realistic at all. the whole series is rooted in a kind of supernatural ether, they just play it somewhat loosely by putting the focus on unraveling the characters' actions and how they interact with one another.
