I'm about to go to Barnes and Noble for a book on quantum mechanics. But I'm open to something else, so if I get a good enough recommendation I'll get it. As long as it isn't really expensive.

If you have an iPhone with the iBooks app or the "20,000+ free books app", check out Brandon Sanderson. Warbreaker and/or Way of Kings should be on either app. Both of them are pretty long, but great reads. His writing style is also very accessible yet not to the point where his books would be considered YAF. They should both be free.

I got the book for christmas last year but it took me until august to get to reading it, since then I've read Dune, Messiah, Children, God-Emperor and I've got two more books on the way <_<

It's a wonderful series, really something special.
