those white whiskers are pretty telling,,,

the dog looks like it's 14 years old... pay attention to her health when you see her.

I prefer buying dogs young, you don't know if she has some ptsd.

very intelligent breed... with intelligence comes a lesser degree of obedience.

may have separation anxiety depending on how close she is with the other dog Roxy.

needs to run around a lot, very energetic dog.

overall the coat is very nice, needs to be maintained a bit or it will really look like shit.

athletic build... just seems a bit prematurely aged

good size.

7/10 if there is nothing seriously wrong with it.

I didn't even think to question her age. The white hair looks like it's confined to her muzzle, and it's common for lighter coats to whiten quicker. I'll definitely pay close attention when she visits though. If she really is as active as they say I wouldn't imagine she's over 10.

yea i'm sure it's probably nothing. when you do see her, check out the whiskers and eyes as well, make sure they aren't droopy. keep an eye on her posture when she sits and see how long it takes to tire her out if you're in an agreeing environment.

don't forget to judge her behavior as well.

I wouldn't say activity  is a good sign, my dog is 13 and runs around like crazy

Oh yeah generally Aussies like to run around a lot, do you have a large backyard?

We have a small enclosed yard but there's a ton of open, grassy fields around my house and several great dog parks so there's plenty of room to run around.

Would not pet/10.

Not sure what you mean. I'm talking about having several years of being able to take her on runs and hikes before she gets too old to do those sort of things. I'm a pragmatic guy so if it came off as callous, let me clarify that that's not what I intended.

So anytime the dog is outside it will be on a leash, under supervision, or enclosed yard right? I only ask because I grew up in a rural area where our dogs were allowed to run around free but because of that they loved to chase vehicles (Aussies do since they're cattle dogs) driving past on the dirt road. Lost several dogs to being ran over.

Definitely. Our community has pretty strict leash laws.

7.5/10 just be prepared to deal with health problems, you never know when adopting mid age dogs
