You don't have to be an expert strategist to put together that switching your weapons out for something that preforms worse in every single way is a bad idea.

Remember this is a universe where way better bombers already exist and were all over the place in the OT and Prequels.

It's like if between WW2 and now we swapped out all of our bombers for Zeplins. Or in your terms it's like if a top Melee player switched their main unironicly from Fox to Pichu or Kirby and tried to do EVO seriously that way.
