PSA: New Microsoft Edge is out

Microsoft finally gave up and now Edge uses Chromium (but without Google spyware). Chrome plugins still work and it feels like Chrome, but it's not. If you hate Firefox and also hate Google, this might be the way.

Yah, I’ve been using the beta build for the last couple months. It is definitely going to make browser testing super smooth in a couple years, once we no longer support the old shitty Edge.

The only annoyance is that it defaults to Bing, but it is easy to swap, thankfully.

I never used Chrome (used IE11 and FF for stuff that didn;t work in IE11), so idk how this Edgy Chrome stacks up. It certainly is faster than IE11.

Just use brave, which has built in ad block support and you can opt in to ads where you get paid to view them.

It's also built using chromium, so chrome apps work on it too.
