Walking Dead hitting S3 low ratings

Maybe the writing just fucking sucks and the only originality it had was in the first two seasons, the second barely qualifying?

TWD S5 and S6 were the best seasons they've had so far.

Haven't seen S7 yet, but that sucks to hear.

Live ratings are down but DVR ratings are still the same.

As for this season's quality, the story is the best since Terminus but the way they've structured it fucking sucks which probably contributed.

Not gonna happen even despite the ratings drop. It's still got much higher ratings than any of AMC's other shows.

The structure is pretty shit. All the groups (Saviours, Alexandria, Kingdom, Hilltop, lolTara) have been getting one episode each so it means we had to wait three weeks to find out what happened to Maggie after the Neganing, instead of splitting all the episodes up so everyone gets a couple scenes (Like the latest ep).

And Tara getting an entire episode for herself is stupid.

The parallel episode format isn't great, but the new characters are. I was hoping they would use the lack of weapons, food, and safety as a springboard to relive S1/S2 excitement, but they've solely focused on Negan (and JDM is fantastic, but is basically carrying the entire show).
