Yeah I always enjoyed it.
I was in a mock government for a long time, and at first was outspoken and championed a lot of bills, but toward the end of my career I became a more senior behind the scenes guy in our party, and I find that you receive an equal amount of satisfaction watching others speak in favor of bill you authored, or deliver speeches you penned.

I also participated in oratory competitions growing up. I won a few gold medals.

At one competition that has been held annually for over eighty years I received a higher score than anyone in any event has in the history of the competition.

That's basically my claim to fame.
To say the least, I enjoy public speaking.

What part? The speaking going smoothly or you enjoying it? It helps when you have something valuable to say or when it's something you're interested in.

Most of my public speaking experience involved disinterested people who had to be there.

I'm not the biggest fan, especially when I need to memorize because my mind goes blank. The other issues I have, and I have these in normal conversations too, is that I tend to speak quickly, make side comments to myself, and my thoughts tend to be all over the place. I should say, the connections make sense in my head as to how I go from one thought to the next, but it can be hard for others to keep up with what I'm saying. I'm not great at clumping topics together. But if there's a topic I really now, I'm fairly comfortable once I get started, but I still have a tendency to forget obvious things, like how one time I totally blanked that Gwyn was the Lord of Sunlight, even tho I autistically obsessed over Dark Souls

Agree, I'm pretty rough at keeping to time though. 5min speeches turn into 10min; nobody ever minds, because I'm good at holding my audience's attention, but it's still a problem.

Eh. I've done it before for a mock UN and to present my own analysis work, but fuck I hate talking about it. The best part is the end and no one has questions.

In spite of this and that I find it nerve-wracking, I've been told I'm good at it, so at least someone likes what I was talking about.
