After half a decade of constant shit flinging from cinema-troglodytes, people who don't know what an actual plot hole is, people who hate movies that make them think, people who for five fucking years claimed that Prometheus had no sense of direction and all the open-ended questions will forever be left the way they were because "Scott has no idea what's he's doing" got eternally BTFO yesterday.

Alien: Covenant comes in to pick up where Prometheus left off and kick start a new trilogy that will explore the creation of the Xenomorphs, the black goo, and lead right into the first Alien film. Both prologues and all the trailers that FOX has released have been absolutely promising, but leave it to brain dead flick watchers to attempt to smear the movie, all because Prometheus challenged them when they just wanted mindless entertainment.

The movie has already made half its budget before today, it's going to rip apart every other show this weekend and leave movie casuals eternally ass ravaged, it's going to be fucking glorious.

Thank you for posting that video! I saw it for the first time a few days ago and it leaves me confused on how people could be so stupid and ask such stupid questions. It's like they went in wanting to hate it.

I'm not entirely blaming Scott for this trainwreck of a movie, most of the blame goes to Damon Lindelof's Lost tier writing, but that doesn't make him completely blameless for going ahead with this thing. A sequel doesn't magically alter the sins of its shitty predecessor.

I'm not so much as criticizing the black goo as a plot hole as I am calling it out for what it is; a dumb plot thread. They could have just left it as a deadly mutagen but instead decided to go on this really weird plot tangent with borderline hentai porn just so we can get a hint hint, wink wink easter egg at the end of the film.

There's so much fat that could've been trimmed from this movie, because that's where Prometheus ultimately fails. Aimless filler that really adds nothing to the established universe besides the fact that the handsome squidwards want to kill us for being naughty children.

I liked Prometheus. Wasn't an Alien-type film, but it wasn't trying to be. Only gripe is the crappy "Prometheus school of running away" meme.

 Covenant was good. A bit rushed for time near the end though. The woman went from...
...to...

I enjoyed prometheus and I feel that it gets a bit more hate than it deserves. It's certainly not the worst alien film, though it's far from the best.

I fucking loved Covenant. Fassbender is so fucking good.
