The acid isn't strong enough to do immediate harm. It would be working away dissolving, but very slowly, the same way if you throw up you don't just lose all your teeth but after repeated/prolonged exposure it would damage them (e.g. Bulimia sufferers)If you got stabbed in the stomach, the acid would come out and probably do a little bit of damage (see above), but a more pressing manner would be the knife in your stomach.
