Canonically, Alduin can only be killed by a Dragonborn, so unless the US Military develops something like that, they're toast, literally.

To kill a dragon from the Elder Scrolls mythos you need to either be a dragon yourself (I believe) or a dragonborn. Their souls are immortal and need to be consumed to truly kill them, other wise they can come back.

Godzilla is more or less indestructible.

Smaug might get killed if the military knows of his weak spot, though.
