I enjoy the new Supra as I think it's not as bad as most people are making it out to be, but the price for it brand new is absolutely ridiculous especially with the new Corvette coming out being much faster and costing $10k-$15k less.

Tbh the bulk of the Flack it's getting is from 13 year olds fresh from their first viewing of Initial D Stage 4/F&F 1 making fun of it for being developed by BMW. People in my town who have one (including a guy who has every generation from MA61 onwards) have given them glowing reviews, but certainly the price point is a letdown. I think they tried too hard to take advantage of a lack of market competition (their rival being the Kia Stinger) and overcharged, but on paper it's not much more expensive than the A80 RZ versions were, adjusted for inflation.

Hopefully the price for the Supra tanks and used ones dip in pricing. I wouldn't mind owning one tbh they sound nice, are pretty quick, and you have the Toyota reliability as well so you can drive this baby for 30 years if you wanted to.

Got one of these after my suv was totaled.  Tho it kinda backfired since we moved and now I drive that thing like 110 miles everyday.  And now that I'm looking to move (again), I'm really limited on space.  It's not a bad car, but I just really miss my suv.  Plus I've already gotten two flats in this from shit being left on the interstate, so im sick of driving tbh

I dunno fam, cuz it's a Chevy. But really it was released in other countries first around 2009 in like Korea and Europe and then finally brought to the US in 2013. It's more meant for city and urban driving, but PA proper has neither of that

It wasn't just GM, it was nearly every car manufacturer in the early 2010s that built small shitty cars like the Spark because of newer emission laws that were passed mostly in Europe and the US. Even manufacturers like Aston Martin who make nothing but luxury sports cars made this piece of shit to jump on the bandwagon like every one else did. Manufacturers like BMW, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, and Honda all had their own flagship EV during this time. People bought them and they still sell to this day.

They made them because people thought that the era of sports cars, super cars, and other cars with big V8s and V12s was going to end. They expected people to buy these smaller cars because they were good on gas and were cheap to buy/make. It was just a trend in the car market at the time.

Nowadays everyone is buying SUVs and every manufacturer is jumping on that bandwagon once again far worse than the EV craze. It's gotten so bad that Ford turned the Mustang into an SUV and had the audacity to name it "Mach E" which is insulting to the brand name. Mitsubishi turned the Eclipse into an SUV which looks hilariously like the Pontiac Aztek.

I think at this rate Ferrari and McLaren are the only major car manufacturers left that don't have an SUV in their lineup and hopefully it stays that way.
