Very little of the 'wisdom' I spout is the result of drug experience. The vast majority of it is the result of studying and practicing non-dualism/advaita, as it is what instilled me with the will to be mindful and discern truth. That post was underwhelming, I was hoping for more, damn.Shit, I'm really disappointed that the basis for the criticism was still just, 'drug experience.' I was really hoping for something more concrete that would've possibly enlightened me to some real character flaws that I could work on.Even after having given up drugs, not advocating them, and even changing my username, I'm still associated with them and brushed over as such. Eh w/e what can I even do . . might as well not even worry about it.

I don't know a great deal about you, but people with such a passive, non-confrontational demeanor as yours can really get on my nerves sometimes. You're the type of person who actively avoids all conflict, and chastises those who engage in it--or, if you're not doing that, you lay by the wayside to add useless snark on the sidelines. "Oh boy, here we go," indeed. "Wahhh, can't we all just get along?"The reason I hate this mentality is simply because it doesn't get anything done. I don't believe you can truly get along with anybody until you've had some kind of heated disagreement with them. It's within these exchanges that we reveal who we truly are, and what we truly believe or value--and it's through these revelations that we can develop more meaningful relationships. We attain a greater understanding of one another--and though there are times when people can cross the line during arguments, it's important to keep in mind that not all squabbles must spit blood. Some of them--a great deal of them, actually--are genuine forms of expression in which we reveal the intimate details of our beliefs, our psyche, or even our personal lives.Paradoxically, arguing with people on the Internet is one of the easiest ways to make friends with them. That's why it's important to fight, and that's why it's important to argue.I don't think you, or people like you, see that--and I think it's toxic to a thriving community.
