I don't know a great deal about you, but people with such a passive, non-confrontational demeanor as yours can really get on my nerves sometimes. You're the type of person who actively avoids all conflict, and chastises those who engage in it--or, if you're not doing that, you lay by the wayside to add useless snark on the sidelines. "Oh boy, here we go," indeed. "Wahhh, can't we all just get along?"

The reason I hate this mentality is simply because it doesn't get anything done. I don't believe you can truly get along with anybody until you've had some kind of heated disagreement with them. It's within these exchanges that we reveal who we truly are, and what we truly believe or value--and it's through these revelations that we can develop more meaningful relationships. We attain a greater understanding of one another--and though there are times when people can cross the line during arguments, it's important to keep in mind that not all squabbles must spit blood. Some of them--a great deal of them, actually--are genuine forms of expression in which we reveal the intimate details of our beliefs, our psyche, or even our personal lives.

Paradoxically, arguing with people on the Internet is one of the easiest ways to make friends with them. That's why it's important to fight, and that's why it's important to argue.

I don't think you, or people like you, see that--and I think it's toxic to a thriving community.

lmao what

god forbid someone is chill and non confrontational

learning about everyone's personality and values isn't as important as being able to comfortably post in your free time without the obligation to get into big internet arguments

they're a waste of energy, not everyone has the patience to set aside time to perpetuate a huge debate

Do it
There's not a whole lot I could say to you that you don't already know or wouldn't expect. You're an uppity passive-aggressive little guppy, always posting as though you sucked the wrong side of your own dick the previous night. Fortunately, I've found that none of the other mods on the website conform all that much to the stereotype that forum moderators are full of themselves--so it's a shame that the same cannot be said of you. It's only too fitting that your political posturing in Serious testifies so well to your greasy, supercilious nature.

You come across to me as a guy who hasn't hit bottom yet. You haven't seen anything, you haven't been anywhere, and you don't know shit about shit--and as the days go by, you come closer to realizing all of this yourself. And maybe I'm wrong--but your disdainful personality does not signal anything I'd call "happiness" or "comfort." You're like a shell of a person, posting on a forum of people you consider inferior. But they're not. You're about as crass and as dumb and as helpless as they are.

Ironically, this post illustrates his point. Because you disagree with him and open yourself to argument he can tell what you stand for and understand you. It allows greater capacity for building some kind of relationship, whereas a non-confrontational person would remain silent and Verbatim would never know what kind of person they were and thus never really build any type of relationship with them.

You've yet to carve yourself a niche in the community, other than "guy who asks people questions all the time."

I know his point, and I'm just saying that understanding someone and their values isn't as important as letting that someone enjoy their time posting on the forum. Not everyone likes to get into arguments or even make their values known to the public, and it's a dumb thing to hold against them.

You can understand someone without arguing with them.

do it you diseased cock
Sometimes I wonder if you're capable of taking anything seriously. It doesn't seem like anything matters to you. The whole country could be burning to the ground--your family could all be dying of cancer--and you would be posting memes about it on the Internet. I find that your wit is wasted on this website, but you can be rather vexatious at times.

And I think you know it, too. That's the worst part.

Is this situation, is there a factual basis for substantiating opinion, or is this subjective?
