For starters, I had no real intent of accomplishing anything with that statement. Just tossing it out here is all. Some humor is all.

But, one could argue that my point still stands. A person could say something, or make something, and somebody else could call them a racist for it without seeing the whole picture. In some backwards way, the aggressor is partially racist for automatically attributing something to the people they're trying to defend.

Granted, there are words and statements that have had, and still do carry more weight behind them which could offend people quite easily. Anybody who uses these not in any racial regard should at least be ready for the misdirected flak that will no doubt arrive on their doorstep.

Well, then I guess there's not much more we can do about that then can we? To be fair though, you could describe any riot as planet of the apes. The only thing that's ever gone around in riots is rampant stupidity and a chain reaction through people instigated by an aggressor either legitimately or artificially. I remember watching the riots in British Columbia over a hockey game once. You could easily have called something like that planet of the apes.

The Vancouver playoff riots were awesome, but Philly topped that when the rioted after their baseball team WON the world cup

I believe what I said isn't racist. The problem with this thread is that I didn't elaborate on a potentially sensitive topic in the way that I wanted it to be perceived. I will admit that the fact that I didn't elaborate was a stupid mistake.

Perhaps next time I make a joke on something fairly sensitive, I'll explain the way I perceive it.
