I've been thinking/internally debating a lot about it today, and I feel after summer it might be for the best to slowly go back to taking a class a season and get on track to finishing my degree since I've knocked out all my Gen-Ed classes. However I'm left with some questions:

-Will I keep the credits I earned from two years ago? It's the same school.
-Do schools ever purge inactive students?

If I don't have any problems with the previous two questions, I'm stuck on a choice of two different degrees.

A Technical Certificate in Film Production and an A.S. in Film Production. The first is slightly shorter and I can complete it faster but the latter I have all the gen-ed classes completed and I wouldn't have to leave my job at the end to get the degree. I'm really torn on choosing one; I don't really want to be in a position of leaving the company but I kind of want to get it over with.

What would you guys suggest?

An A.S. is better than a certificate, but I wonder why you don't just go for a B.S., though I don't know anything about your field and whether a B.S. is necessary.

A BS would require me to go to a university and take other geneds like Freshman Comp 2, things completely unnecessary when learning how to operate a camera or manipulate stage lighting.

Also, how long does one need to be inactive for them to purge them?

Yeah, but it all depends on what your career path requires. Bachelor's degrees are usually a requirement for progressing beyond entry-level jobs, though I have no clue what film production requires.

As for automatic disenrollment, you'd have to ask your university.

Well I managed to log back into my school account and it shows all my grades so I think I'm good on that, they're closed on site this weekend so I'll visit them Monday on figuring out how to start classes for Fall.
