The amount of editing you have to do and how much shit he puts out would make a lot of people go crazy. People don't really grasp how much crap you have to do other than just sitting on your ass and actually recording.

Recording for one hour, then cutting it, then editing more, then making sure things are right. That alone takes a long freaking time.

Then you gotta throw in variables such as audio messing up, recording not synced with audio (always so much fun), YouTube taking 4 hours to process and upload it, and a list of other things.

Staying on a consistent time frame if you're throwing out a video every single day, literally consumes more of your time then anyone would like to consider. And to keep up your enthusiasm on camera for HOURS on end is a challenge in itself.

It's an effort for Rooster Teeth and their Let's Play's to do it. Image just one person.

This guy is honesty very lucky.

He started making videos and noticed that obnoxious reactions = raise in views.
He also noticed that the demographic that watches his videos are kids.

There are millions of kids on YouTube.

So he makes all of his videos aimed at 7-12 year olds and BAM! Profit. He just happened to be there at the right time and his popularity is not slowing down with time.

He's not really an annoyance (I'm not even going to go as far as hate) if you don't watch his videos, that's a spectacularly easy thing to do.

While I don't watch his content to even get an opinion on him, he seems alright enough (his answer to the dude going on about "soldiers fighting for our country should be paid more" was pure gold) but yes, he gets paid a lot for doing something that in a lot of people's views isn't valuable.

So fucking what? Footballers get paid jillions, bankers get bonuses on top of 5-6 figure sums, and the list could go on. Some people get lucky in their career and a lot don't and that's life. I'm surprised people haven't realised that life doesn't dish out everything equally or according to percieved effort yet, and frankly they're misinformed on who they should be angry at.
