You're kidding. Halloween is a dark holiday; it may be flippant and defiant towards death, but it's still a spooky, gimmicky holiday. Christmas is full of warmth and brightness, it's soothing and loving and all-around makes you feel so happy. I'd take that over some metaphor any day.

Every year for the past three years, on Christmas eve at 11 pm I go to a park near me, it's always decorated really nice. There are usually some people who come around to sing. Everyone is always really friendly, to the point where they'll hug random strangers and wish them a merry Christmas. Everyone usually clears out by 1 on the 25th. I normally stick around until 2 enjoying the silence and cold air.
