At some point in the near future, I think I'm probably going to have to upgrade from a phone that crashes when opening texts with more than 100 words (Runs out of deditated wam) to something slightly more useful.

Since I imagine some of you will have phones that do more than lag when typing in the phone number you want to ring, you might have any suggestions/phones to shill for.
Specs wise, I have no fuggin clue. Size, no feckin clue. Price no foken cloo.
Android obviously, but as for anything beyond that I really have no idea.

So um, what phones do you have/know of that are good.

Since my introduction to smart phones has been uh... not exactly enamouring, something reasonably powerful(?) would be a good bet rather than something to save money on.

Galaxy S4 is a decent phone.

I got the mini version, but it's still fucking massive compared to my old phone and it does the job of... well, everything, nicely (including browsing here, looking at my Uni timetables/e-mails, and wasting a few minutes on Fallout Shelter).

Costs around £200 if you want a pay-as-you-go option (as if you're like me and barely text/call, it's cheaper in the long run).

I think my dad has something like that for work and it's quite a nice one especially in comparison to my current one. I don't want to offend it's machine spirit, but it's a potato of a phone.

I send maybe 5 texts a month, 10 if it's a busy one.
Same if not less for calls lol.

I've only got three apps/games I'd really give a monkey's about for it too.
Fallout Shelter might be fun again in 6 months because I got pretty sick of that after the first month but there could be some experiments to run whilst I'm in the car and the like.

The other is of course the companion app for fallout 4 and hopefully the phone would fit the pipboy >_>

And Gook Order which is a bit more of a wildcard.

Then I highly recommend getting a phone (if not S4) with EE. Not sure about other companies too well, but I pay £1 a week and get 10MB, 50 texts and 50mins' worth of calls, far cheaper paying £52 a year rather than £120 if you get a £10 a month plan or go contract-based.

That sounds pretty nice, my current contract is like 10 or 15 a month iirc but then I've had that since middle school which was quite a few years back now >_>

God no, the s4 is shit when it comes to battery life and is the weakest one made. The s5 is a lot superior. Unless psy loves the constant overheating and battery loss, the s4 is perfect for him

The S5 is certainly better but I'm thinking cost in mind.

After having this phone for six months I can say my phone does get warm occasionally, but has never been hot, and as for the battery it's only a concern when I'm not maaging my apps (I close them down fully after use out of habit normally) so it's not a real concern unless you're regularly 4 days from a charger point or something.

Get one made before the era of Smartphones. They're generally reliable, have better battery life (because of all that time you won't be spending on the internet, mainly), are usually more durable and have the added benefit of causing nearby speakers to buzz as a warning for incoming texts/calls. srs nigga I got a Motorola v3i for $50 AU this year and I'd be the coolest cat if it was 2005-2007.

Hmm, that's actually what I'd really like if I could find one anywhere.

If I can get a flip-phone for being an actual phone and then a fancy android thing for being more of a tablet that might not be too bad >_>
