I decided to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows after nearly two years of having my computer.
So I backed up all the files that I want to keep, I have put in the OS DVD in the drive, restarted the computer, and made sure that the DVD drive is set as the primary boot media in the BIOS menu.
I go through the initial steps of the install process, I choose to format the hard drive instead of importing the files because I want this to be a complete restart.
The computer restarts, nothing weird with that, it said that it would restart several times.
And the screen goes black.
It stays that way.
I try to move the mouse a bit, and a cursor appears.
Nothing weird, I thought. I'll give it a while, maybe this is supposed to happen.
I wait.
After a while of nothing happening, I restart the installation.
And again.
And again.
I notice that the mouse dissapears from the monitor if I move it to far in one direction.
I turn on my secondary monitor to see if that's were it goes.
AND THE MOTHERFUCKIN INSTALLATION CONTINUES ON THAT MONITOR
I SPENT AN HOUR ON A PROBLEM I COULD'VE SOLVED IN FIVE SECONDS
