NOTE: This is talking about chat, tabletop or forum roleplaying. NOT RPGs.

So I gotta question for all you roleplayers like me. What genre is the most enjoyable to roleplay? ((SFW please))

And, what is your preferred way of roleplaying? Live Chat? Forum? Tabletop? Etc?

Mine personally would be Fantasy, realistic roleplays are boring to me, being able to fly a motha fuckin dragon to the next city? Or sending bursts of magic at your enemies? HELL YES.

Oh, and my favorite way to roleplay is live chat.

Doing it on a forum provides more room for details, along methods of organizing. Live chats are more fluid, but the posts are sometimes rushed. The roleplays need a backstory or drive to keep the interactions moving along.

The place I roleplay already has a pre-established world to work with, and all the people I roleplay with are VERY detailed. Quality can come from live chat, even if it has issues with brb's and newcomers being one liners.

You would be surprised. The popularity of the site has gone down significantly since it started out. But even with the chaos at the start it was quiet organized with a very strict set of rules. Nowadays the rules are more loose.

I occasionally drove around at normal traffic speeds in Midtown Madness 3, or named my Pokemon character "Ash"/Zelda profile called "Link," but that was about it, really.

Fantasy, forum. I've been trying to get into tabletop RPing, but so far, the games I've played in are either over voice chat, which I'm uncomfortable with, or it was a Sci-fi game in person, which I just can't get into like I can with fantasy.

If people are having fun people are having fun. I don't know if DnD counts as "roleplaying" but I have a friend that has friends that are into it and he's talked about having me come along with him when he's invited to a session some time.

Jeez, I haven't RP'd in forever, I used to do a fair bit of forum RPing before dropping off since my timezone was terrible for it, I was always at school when the RPs were going on

Yeah it counts, i'm talking a about roleplay that doesn't have the limits of a video game. So D&D counts.

Also, try it out with your friend if you can, a lot of fun with a good GM and players.
