I'm kinda annoyed that Doomsday is not the ultimate death machine created on ancient Krypton from the rinse and repeat process of clones.

Well he was grown in the comics with Superman's DNA by Lex Luthor at one point in the comics

So at least they got source material right

But I'm pretty disappointed they showed it in the trailer

No, that was Bizarro.

No Lex did grow Doomsday at one point in the comic with Superman's DNA
He got flame breath but he was much weaker and also gained intelligence

So I'm kinda glad they went with version because then they can save pure Doomsday for a later sequel
Plus there is no way they would be able to defeat him otherwise
