Yeah, I did one calculation which was 10x36=3600, and that was all that I needed to think that I had no idea what was going on here, because Quantity one ends up with 1500, and Quantity two is bigger.

3600>1500, so I stopped thinking what little thought that I had altogether.

Okay, so we have 15 36's and 15 64's.
This means 15x36 + 15x64 can be written as 15(36+64).
15(36+64) = 15 x 100 = 1500

Try doing it by multiplying them separately. You'll find that you get the same answer. Because 36 and 64 are being multiplied by the same number, you can write it as 15(36+64) just to make things simpler and then apply BIDMAS.

On the off chance that you're not trolling and legitimately weren't taught the kind of basic math my 11 year old cousin is dealing with right now: you don't just go from left to right when solving math problems like these. There's an order that you need to follow. And that is that you first do the multiplications (15x36 = 540 and 15x64 = 960), and then the addition (540+960 = 1500). 1500 is less than 1501.

This is why I end up not getting full marks on most tests I do. I always assume the answer without calculating it.

For instance:
I once ended up with 16+2, and wrote 19

I had all of the algebra right, and all of that, but I sometimes assume the wrong thing without thinking.

I know what BEDMAS is, but I assumed that the question wasn't this easy, and then I took 10x36=3600
then 5 times 36 plus the answer, but I only did the 10x36 part.

I don't feel like an idiot, because I made a mistake that I usually make, which is assuming without calculating. I do however feel some slight embarrassment for posting this on here without saving the page for another day. It was late and I wanted the answer, so I just made this thread.

Please don't think less of me, because I'm more than able to use the order of operations which is 6th grader stuff, or less.
