I'd say my favorite is still A New Hope with Empire a a close second, but Rogue One gives them a run for their money.

Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith are still up there for me. If you couldn't tell, that means I like the darker tones of the series, though RoTS is far darker than ep 5.

Empire is still the best. There was character growth, steady story development, a more unraveling plot, and can be appreciated in any era of ours.

Since Verb is banned, I can see this going in a different direction to most Star Wars threads.

Anyway, from personal favorite to least favorite:

-Empire Strikes Back/Star Wars are tied for me.

-Half of Return of the Jedi (Some of this film is so, SO GOOD. I could it because the bits I like I REALLY like.

-The Force Awakens

-Attack of the Clones: I used to hate this movie SO MUCH but when I rewatched the whole series with my girlfriend I actually enjoyed this one the most out of all the prequels.

-Revenge of the Sith: Eh, the Clones are cool and it has nice special effects, but I find it so painfully boring to sit through. There's nothing bad for me to enjoy. The Emperor is pretty fun

-The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul was cool I guess?

I usually tend to agree with the consensuses on Star Wars movies but I can't seem to wrap my head around all the acclaim Rogue One is getting. I thought it was very dull and forgettable. I found myself checking my watch multiple times during both times I saw it. I'd have to put it at the bottom of my rankings:

ESB > ANH > ROTJ > ROTS > TFA > AOTC > TPM > RO

I found it pretty forgettable myself, same with TFA. They look nice sure, but they were kinda boring.

Rogue One is a clear favourite for me, because it's a lot grittier and a lot more focused on the war than the force. Same reason why The Clone Wars' last few seasons I love so much.

Probably put Revenge in second, with Empire and ANH about equal, then ROTJ, then Menace, then Clones. Force Awakens at the bottom because all the ideas it has are the previous films but done worse, and the characters just don't make sense.

Oh, and that Clone Wars animated film. Clearly the best of all.
