Not sure how to handle this flood :(

Okay so my girlfriend if going to be beggining college next semester, and her plan is to become and Dentist. There's only one problem

Quite frankly, I'm not sure if she's smart enough :/ I love her to death and she is a smart girl (6th in her highschool class, 4.125 GPA) I'm just not sure she's that caliber smart. She's never really excelled in the sciences, she's had to try super hard in AP bio to keep and A while I barely did anything and just screwed around when I took that class and A's came easy. But how do I tell her my concerns?
I don't want to hurt her feeling and I want her to follow her dreams, but at the same time I don't want her accumulating dept and wasting 4 years only to be rejected by dental school.

How should I handle this flood?

It's fucking dentistry, not synthesizing a chemical compound. Doesn't take that much inherent intelligence, just a knowledge of the field.

Why do you think she couldn't be a dentist? It's not like those folks are physicists or something; if she works hard and practices at it, there's no reason it couldn't be done.

If she wants to do it, I'm sure just learning what's what will get her through it.
It's not like she'll be in a lab mixing dangerous shit to find out what happens, she's going to be working with teeth.

she tends to bomb tests in biology. Her high gpa and class rank are partly due to her Being amazing at literature and history

You don't sound like a good boyfriend m8(i'm sure you are though), never discourage someone from following their passion. She needs to learn on her own if she has what it takes or not. It's not like she's a D student hoping to become a dentist, she sounds like a really intelligent girl. Coupled with the fact that she works very hard in school and you have a recipe for success, I am very confident she'll make it if she wants to.

Trust me you don't want to voice those concerns, it'll only build resentment and discouragement.

yeah I just made this thread because she was doubting herself (her mom isn't very supportive of her, meanwhile her retarded d student sister walks on water )

Of course I told her to pursue dentistry and that I thought she could do it, but all her doubting has kinda made me worry.
