Yahoo News (via tipster Pyke) and Famitsu report that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will be handling the new anime’s story. The series will take place after Goku defeats Majin Buu, and the world has become a peaceful place again.

So basically, the same time as GT but canon and (hopefully not bad)

Not really a fan of the direction the movies are going so I'm not really interested. There're just recycling super saiyan forms with different colors all willy nilly and the supporting cast is worthless now. Pretty much shit on the established strength hierarchy too.

kid buu is the original, "pure" incarnation of the majin called buu, so when you refer to majin buu then kid buu is the proper analogue, not fat/mr buu

Depends on the context.
"After Buu" means after the Buu threat. Besides, there wasn't any time gaps during the whole Buu saga, except for after Kid Buu's death. Since the new movies took place in the gap it's a safe bet they won't go backwards to in between BoG or RoF.
