Name me one Marvel film that holds a candle to The Dark Knight

Like seriously, the MCU is fun I guess, but I genuinely cannot, for the life of me, think of a solitary movie that can hold its own critically and artistically with TDK. Even fantastic films outside the MCU (Spider-Man 2, X-Men 2) just cannot compete.

I think it's because Marvel so far has failed to deliver any good villains. The heroes are great, and they're very well-developed, but you can't match the Bale/Ledger combo. The only thing that could hold a candle to that relationship is Loki in Avengers.

Iron Man 3 had a shot, but they killed it with the lame Mandarin twist.

The Dark Knight is and always will be the greatest comic book movie of all time. That shouldn't take away from all that the MCU has created and accomplished.

Little unrelated, but at least on TV, Daredevil kicks ass, whereas The Flash and Arrow are soap operas.

The closest thing I can think of is The Winter Soldier. But even then, it's a laughable comparison.

But lets be fair, in terms of capturing what it means to be a comic book movie, I doubt we'll ever be able to top The Winter Soldier. Greatest superhero movie of all time, hands-down.
