The main issue I have with new Bionicle is CCBS and the huge lack of parts in useful colors other than neutrals. Especially since the switch to new blues and green. This was really apparent in the Bionicle Mask Maker Challenge. By the way which was totally stupid in the end since the winner didn't even use ccbs like Lego kept saying to use. And no, Bionicle was not considered Technic, Lego clarified that early on.

I was out with a few friends just walking around Walmart one night and came across the rebooted Kopaka, and bought it on impulse. Looks cool, but the parts are... Weird. All of the armor plating on his body is hinged with ball sockets, so the move around in a really awkward, easily-detachable way. They don't hold together as well as they use to.
They're building blocks. That's it.

I just don't understand this Lego craze. They're building blocks. That's it. I built stuff with them when I was a kid, sure, but I don't hold this weird nostalgic fixation with them even as an adult. You guys make fun of me for liking kids shows while you play with kids toys. I just find it hypocritical and annoying.
Why Bionicles specifically?

Other brands of building blocks exist. Literally countless. Legos are the same. I guess the appeal is they're stronger and smaller? Still a pretty dumb reason that the franchise is an empire at this point.

Were they the coolest thing in the history of toys? Not by far.Hence the challenge:name something better or more worthy of praise than the bionicleor LEGO in general, to be honestGoing outside? When I was a kid, we found sticks and swordfought. Big log-like sticks were greatswords, small flimsy ones were daggers, etc. Using your imagination, running around like you're a Jedi or a samurai - that's the best kind of toy.

How could I forget these two?
