Name a ship in my writing

You may or may not know I do quite a bit of writing. Regardless, if you want to name one of the craft in the story, feel free. I'll also post the classes below.

Corvette (Stealth)- =<250 metres
Frigate (Main ship)- 250<x<=400 metres
Destroyer (Heavily armed offensive ship)- 400<x<=1000metres
Cruiser (Like destroyers, but mainly defensive)- 400<x<=1000 metres
Carrier (Flagship)- >1000 metres (The Midnight class is 8.4 KM long but no new ships are needed in this class)

Similar naming style to UNSC from Halo if that helps.

Well, civil war and WWII generals are always a solid choice, but alternatively, you could go for slightly more modern or even current political and military leaders. I mean, your piece is likely set in the future, and you don't want it to suffer from Star Trekitis, where any work of art, music, or literature, came from before 1900.
