My Second Day at University and I Already Hate Orientation

They had loud music and people screaming since I got here until about midnight. Then woke us at 8:00 by playing rave music and banging on our doors.

I'm just silently sitting in my room so I don't have to do any activities or anything.

They don't do anything like that to us, it's optional and starts at a specific place 5:00pm every day. You don't have to go if you don't want, and you can leave anytime if you do participate.

I hear more about universities that makes me not want to go than the anount that makes me want to go.

Everything here is optional too, they just try to peer pressure you into it as it seems. I think our events happen throughout the day but they (at least the one last night) happen just outside the resedence. We had to close the window to muffle some of the noise.

I guess I'm lucky in my situation, there's no pressure at all to participate here.
