Oh WOW. I didn't FUCKING KNOW THAT, kid. THANKS FOR TELLING ME.Fuck. No, I'm not leaving. That doesn't solve the fucking goddamn problem, does it?
Possible changes to the boards are currently being discussed. One of the main ideas is to only allow things like politics and religion in Serious so that a lot more threads with discussion value would be made in Flood instead.

It's certainly happened before. So, I mean, I don't think that would really change anything. In my opinion, I think Serious should be more open to topics other than politics and religion. Anyone who wants to have a serious discussion about anything can put it in that board, and the Flood can be Shitpost Central. That's honestly how I'd do it.
thats essentially how it is now
Quote from: Azumarill on January 05, 2015, 01:59:44 PMthats essentially how it is nowExcept not really, because threads in Serious can still get moved if they're not deemed serious enough topics. And it's generally not encouraged to post anything but religion/politics there, when it damn well should be.
Mainly because of shitposting from Door and Dustin in that board. Otherwise there's plenty of stuff there besides religion and politics.

I fucking guarantee if I made a thread about, I don't know, your favorite brand of soda? And I wanted to have a serious discussion on what is the best brand of soda? It would get moved.

I'm advocating for the serious discussion of topics rather than the discussion of serious topics in the Serious board. That's what I'm pushing for.

Every now and then I make a poll asking the community if they use a particular forum feature--strangely, those threads are taken seriously, but if I actually want to discuss anything, like the new Death Grips album, it gets drowned out with literally 0 replies. Why?Shitposting.
And that isn't going to happen.

Is it the perfect solution? No
Quote from: Fagcicle on January 05, 2015, 02:16:59 PMIs it the perfect solution? No Not only is it an imperfect solution. It also WON'T FUCKING WORK. AT ALL.I will bet real fucking money on it.
And the solution of "ban all the shitposters" also won't work at all.

It would work like nothing else would work, and that's because you and I have fundamentally different ideas of what a good forumgoing experience is, and how a forum should be.Mine is better, objectively.

Whelp. Let me know how funding the forum goes when you go from having 100 or so users, to twenty.
