yea, but the thing is, any galaxy (except quasars and the other 2 i forgot) can host lifeforms. elliptical galaxies have a nice chance of doing so, iirc...

i feel bad for all the lifeforms that are stuck in systems in intergalactic space
or in systems that are, in the case of our galaxy, far above the plane of the disc
must feel lonely.

mfw interstellar travel is never feasible anyways

do you think they look at our galaxies and just kinda hope someone out there is thinking about them in their loneliness?

A quasar is not a star. Its a supermassive, ancient, black hole that eats so much matter that shines brighter than galaxies.
