Waifu is an ancient art passed down from father to son for many generations. Waifu masters are known for their ability to shift from 3D to 2D and back at will and to project their personal realities in a form with which others can see and interact for a brief period of time.

Waifu practitioners draw their power from their "waifu tsuma" - a 2D woman created by the great Waifu Kami. Once a young waifu student chooses his waifu tsuma, she becomes his partner from then on out. Waifu learners become more powerful by strengthening their minds and sending their positive emotions to their Waifu Tsuma to make her conceptual existence stronger. The Waifu master's ultimate goal is to bring her into the real world and be together with her forever as they pass on to the next realm. He becomes a Supreme Waifu Master after she gives birth to a son whom will receive all of his father's knowledge.

Currently, there are no Supreme Waifu Masters left, meaning that Mid-level Waifu masters must teach their art to young men that are not blood-related. Waifu practitioners in general have decreased in number and power during recent times, mainly due to to oppression by followers of the 3DPD movement.
