To be fair, they're not all wrong. Can't really argue with the fact that the US has a disproportionally high rate of (mass) shootings compared to other developed countries, and that a lot of that has to do with the prevalence and accessibility of guns in your society.

That's not the problem though. The problem is the mainstream media outlets reporting on these mass shootings. They're the ones adding fuel to the already burning flame.

They tell everyone watching what type of gun(s) the shooter used, the type of ammo, the place they shot up, the back history on the shooter, the race of the shooter, how many people they've killed, the shooter's intentions on why they did it, and hell they even compare them to other shooters from shootings that happened in the past like they're keeping a high-score counter or something. Why do they have to go into full detail about all this shit? Leave it to the police to have these details, not the public.

Overseas news outlets broadcast the very same level of detail, so how come we're not seeing the same proportion of mass shootings here in the UK, or in Sweden, Germany? The only factors that differ are the lack of gun accessibility and the lack of that weird love affair you guys have got about guns, and about using them.
