She knocked on my bedroom door, so I pretended to be asleep. She opened the door and asked me if I wanted anything and I didn't respond, she waited for a few seconds and then began to leave.

So I jumped up roaring at the top of my voice.

She threw out her back.

I'm crying with laughter.

I've got naturally quiet footsteps and long fucking legs so whenever I hear the back door open to my restaurant I know it's a friend or somebody trusted. I usually get up and go through the kitchen to pop into the doorway and say hello as they come in. But I never cover ground fast enough so I've scared just about everybody I know by suddenly rounding the fucking corner on them.

I come down the stairs and you'd think that'd make enough fucking noise in the rattling old building but I come down and say hello to my mother and she jumps.

I'm walking around in the kitchen and it's a quiet hour and my mother's friend is out in the main room using the computer. I say hello across the counter top and she jumps.

You'd fucking think I could make louder footsteps but apparently even in steel toed fucking winter boots I can't.

I'm counting on the day when I give somebody a heart attack.

I walk very quietly as a habit, to the point where I've suggested getting a bell to wear around my neck when I'm at my grandparent's house so I don't give them a heart attack >.>

I even try to announce my presence by whistling from the room I'm about to enter but that makes people jump anyway :/

But god damn if it isn't funny as shit to scare your parents like that e.e
I used to hide under the bed, motionless like a crocodile and wait for my dad to walk past. Then when he'd been standing there for a few seconds I'd grab his leg and shriek, fucking pissed myself laughing nearly while he was bellowing in panic.

I have a habit of doing this to people too. Probably because my brothers did it to me when I was younger..
I remember one time we were staying in my aunt's house, which is really old and creepy (with weird dolls everywhere and creaky floors). I went up to bed, turned off the light and went to get in - annnd a hand from under the bed grabs my ankle and starts pulling me under. So yeah. I was like, really young too.
