This thread is meant to be optimistic and yet it's rather depressing now, is it not?

It kicks you when you're down and and not up to you if it's going to stop or not. The only thing that's up to you is if and how you decide to keep pushing through. Yeah, money isn't everything. But it's certainly something, and something essential. Because without it, life is even harder and in many cases more miserable.Everything you know and love can be gone in an instant. It doesn't matter how rich or poor you are, or how hard you try to stop it. And all you can do is pick up the crumbling pieces and keep crawling forward, hoping you don't get stomped on while you're still recovering.

One can't even comprehend what true happiness means without a good deal of suffering first.

An existence without happiness and suffering isn't much of an existence at all. In fact, it's hardly even a...human state of mind. You'd have to be pretty hardcore into meditation or something (or really drugged up) to achieve a state like that, I would think.
Well, fuck money. Money, at it's core really does fuck up society, and it fucks up people.
