Clciking on those ads provides revenue for them though?

What would happen if you accidently clicked on one? would they stop giving you ad money?

Probably not, but they could deny me the money if I'm giving them false clicks. It's one of those conflict of interest things as well, so they ban the site owners from clicking the ads.
