Well, Class it has improved in a lot of companies like Starbucks. This guy who has been s shift supervisor much longer than me only gets paid 10 cents more than me, so yes he gets paid more but he's been there longer and he totally got screwed over when we got our company wide raises. I got a dollar raise whereas he got a 30 cent raise.

It's okay I know it's not all about Starbucks I was just saying there is change starting. Especially since Starbucks is such a large and influential company globally speaking. There are over 20,000 Starbucks worldwide. If they are executing the same pay rates as what I have encountered here in America across the globe think of those women working for Starbucks in other countries get paid the same as their male counterparts, and where males are still paid more in other jobs. It opens up the conscious mind to say "hey, yeah I'm a woman and I deserve to be paid the same amount for the same job as men".

It's surprising how common it is. Even Elite Athletes have a significant difference in pay/prize money in their corresponding sports/events. The World 24 Hour MTB Enduro championships had something like $5,000 for the winner of the Elite Women's event, and $15,000+ for the Men in 2012. It might've changed by now but I doubt it, but is there really anything we can do about the issue in general?

athletics are a distinctly different market. Men's competitions are undeniably more competitive and garner greater revenue
