They're all different layers of friends, in different departments. Not only do I already have enough friends, but it's also important to say why having an "in-person" friend is different from an Internet one, for reasons that I've never really thought necessary to explain until now.

Really, if I wanted to rehash even older subject matter, I'd just say I don't want people leaving their compartments. There are a lot of reasons I don't want to meet any of you in person, most importantly:

Nah. Since everyone is a liar, relaxing social conventions puts less of an emphasis on being honest. Outside of the absolute sticklers on honesty (Mr. Shares-His-Address-And-Real-Name), everyone is more comfortable with lying when it both has less of an impact on the people they're talking to and nets them more attention with little-to-no extra effort.

I can completely understand why you wouldn't want to have more in-person friends than you have—but from the responses you've given up until just now, I had no idea that was the case. It just seemed like some kind of strange, stuck-up complex you had, which is why I started taking offense.

But it makes sense now, and I'm satisfied. My issue was never the fact that you didn't want to meet anyone (I don't care at the end of the day); it was your insinuations that bothered me. But I'm pretty content with just being Internet friends if you are. No issue. Just didn't like the insinuation that I'm less than real just because you'll never meet me.

No, not necessarily. But it would be an interesting experience that I wouldn't necessarily fear or regret having, despite it maybe being a tad awkward. It's nothing I haven't endured before, but I can respect that you just don't feel the same way.

like ideally at least one or two days with people i like (verb/banjo/etc.) depending on similar interests

an evening with a few of the other users i like but dont have a lot in common with (das/jive/ian/etc.)

and a picture with some randoms i happen to meet
