I've been rereading this book series I read in the fifth grade called "Percy Jackson and the Olympians." It was the first book (or, series of books) I didn't want to throw at someone. And I read it at what ended up being a pretty pivotal time in my life.

Anyway. Flash forward to now. I'm rereading the first book of the series and realising I don't actually own the others, so I head off to my local book store to buy them. And I couldn't believe they were in the "Young Readers 9-12" section.

Just a weird feeling, I guess. I still think of myself as young, but to see something I treasured that much as a kid amongst all this other childish stuff was just unusual to me. I still feel like I'm that person I was in the fifth grade, but so much has changed...

Yeah I know what you mean man. It's a weird feeling.

Yeah, and it's even weirder now too because I have a niece who's getting to be about the age I was when I discovered these books. But she's just a kid to me. I never considered myself a kid back then.

Just one of those sensations people told you about when you were younger but are impossible to describe once you experience them.

The 5th grade sucked ass. Most boring time of my life.

I can relate.  Yet again, I don't see it as an unusual thing to feel like the same person that you were ages ago(well literally you are the same person).  Im the same Han as i was when i was in middle school, but with added years on my life. Of course i've grown up and such but i feel the same.
