Get a tuner app and sing your notes into itIt'll tell you what notes you're humming
This is not true at all.Reading music is beneficial in any genre, though it's only truly necessary if you're a concert musician (as in you're playing concert piano performances of Rachmaninoff and Liszt) or something of the like. It's most certainly NOT a waste of time, but it's nto necessary if your only desire is to play rock music. It will ALWAYS be beneficial, however.
reading music is a waste of time. real musicians don't have to, tbh.like, look at someone like Video Game Pianist. The man obviously has practiced piano his entire life, but his fucking TIMING is so bad. he has no ear for the actual music, it's actually kind of embarrassing.
Bullshit unless your parents raised you around music constantly as a baby.A very small number of people have perfect pitch.
