Looks like it doesn't have much reach...

Just remember kids, there's an approximate 15 foot rule for defending yourself against anybody with a knife-like weapon when your means of defense isn't in hand already. (21 foot if you're not trained and proficient in drawing your firearm/non-lethal spray). If they're within that distance by the time you begin to react, you're already stabbed.
