I wouldn't know myself.

I do know a very good couple broke up because they were going to different Uni's across the country, simply because they thought they wouldn't handle it and wanted to end on good terms.

I was in one with my current wife when she went to Rutgers and I was at Penn St.

It sucked, but we got through it. I mean, It was "long" distance, it was only 4 hours and we still saw each other a few times a month.

But with skype, texts, and facetime, its very easy.

People are social creatures. Having a significant other tends to contribute to life in a pretty meaningful way.

Besides, having a girlfriend doesn't necessarily mean you're in love.

Well I'd rather go without it either way, I have much more important uses for my time and money.
