I'm not too bothered by smokers myself, but it's rather the second hand effects which are largely out of their control. Choosing to damage themselves that way? Fine. But it isn't just themselves they are harming if they choose to smoke next to other people who don't.

Yes of course they could smoke privately, on their own, outside... but who the fuck wants to do that. That's just unsocial.

Holy fuck, the shit you leave on your house by smoking inside of it... why do you want to either a: devalue your home or b: create more upkeep/restoration work to dump money into later on? The walls always look like they need new paint...  Car interiors too. Fuck anyone who smokes in a classic.

When you hit your early-mid 20's you realize a cigar or a cigarette here is no big deal. People die everyday. If you want to smoke, who gives a shit. Statistically I doubt you die earlier anyway. Every single one of my grandparents smokes and they are all in their 80s.
