U.S. Troops did bad things in the Pacific Theater. The Japanese did worse. I do not excuse the actions of certain individuals, and I am by no means saying there weren't kind Japanese soldiers, but in the grand scheme of things, there's definitely a good guy and a bad guy in WW2, which is why people are so fascinated by it.
